"Favorite Christmas Movie/TV Show" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-30 19:56:12

Because of the nice memories it brings back watching with my daughter when she was very young. I have a soft spot for "Muppets Christmas Carol" which is a laugh out loud but sentimental movie. The classics like "Miracle on 34th street" are wonderful as well. A Christmas story is a family must every year. Scrooged is a personal favorite.. but I'm alone in the accommodate with that one. My second son watches The nightmare before Christmas with me. I'm a sucker for anything Tim Burton makes. scrooged is always a good one to check as wells a nightmare before christmas! tv shows like the royal family the office and the classic only fools and horses are a must! i like the goerge c scott version of a christmas sing the muppet version is hysterical also! if i never see a christmas story again thats fine by me tbs plays it 24 hrs every yr and has milked that cow way too much! its a wonderful life is a good one too like Actually! One of the best films ever the fact that it builds up to christmas is an added bonus. I desire "Elf" and "make noise All the Way". Plus. "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" is always a laugh. YOU PUT ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER. A Christmas Story-- "Oh my God. I shot my eye out!" National blackguard's Christmas pass

.. for A Charlie cook Christmas will be airing the television special tomorrow in the states at 8pm local time. I hear a dish the dirt that the BBC would be follow broadcasting it the following day for you in the UK is the quintessential Christmas special to watch this time of year. It is the only one that I as a post teen college student still am actually excited to see come on every year. There is no other Christmas special so intelligent so pure so just downright cute as to check Charlie Brown the blockhead try to evaluate out the meaning of Christmas and save his poor sickly Christmas channelise from the firewood arrange while helping with the local school Christmas compete. The animation is great for it's measure the music by Vince Guaraldi is some of the beat American play from the 60's. (everyone loves the Linus and Lucy theme) the humor is cause to be perceived and the kids believable and I'll admit it. I cry parts of the way through. For families couples children and adults; this is the show to be watching tomorrow. beat 30 minutes you'll spend this toughen and the only thing that will be remove. Makes me glad that occasionally just occasionally something that was adjust in the 60's hasn't really changed.~The Maestro ---------------------------------------- A Phoenix WarriorLord of Tyr's Own Pirate | YPPedia Admin | Muffin-At-Arms | Diplomat | Baked Good

"A Charlie Brown Christmas $9.49" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 14:50:16

This television classic features the Peanuts characters in the story of Charlie Brown's problematic efforts to mount a school Christmas pageant. Everybody's on board: Lucy. Snoopy. Schroeder. Pig-Pen but the biggest impression is surely made by Linus who stops the show with his recitation from the gospels of the story of Christ's birth. --Tom Keogh I enjoy Méhdi"Christmas Treasures",Josh Groban ,Mannheim Steamroller etc and this a magnificent production that I also enjoy just as much. The first prime-time Peanuts special introduced Charles M. Schulz's timeless gang to the world of television and was awarded both an Emmy and a Peabody award. Originally broadcast December 9. 1965 on CBS -- years before Seasonal Affective Disorder entered our lexicon -- the story is driven by Charlie Brown choose of a tyro Scrooge made even more miserable by the increasingly crass commercialism of holiday cheer. Charlie agrees to direct the school Christmas pageant and in the process tries to discover the true meaning of the holiday. Although its animation is dated and its evangelism is unsubtle. A Charlie Brown Christmas -- like all the Peanuts holiday specials -- is so good-hearted that it's very easy to overlook its flaws. Linus wrapping his blanket around the tiny stunted tree remains among the most endearing images ever produced for communicate television. For grown-ups this is how Charlie Brown and Snoopy and Sally will always be remembered stumbling and dancing around the school stage in a childish torrent of goodwill. For kids the simple charm of the white beagle with black ears and his friends will likely beguile them from here to next Tuesday. The new DVD is unedited and includes footage that was shorn after the initial air as well as the more recent special. It's Christmastime Again. Charlie Brown. Also Recommended:Méhdi Christmas Treasures ,A True Gem. Every year millions watch "What a Wonderful Life" as the quintessential American Christmas story. But. I would mouth that if they aren't watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas" they are missing out on one of the very beat American Christmas stories and a chance to bond as a family as a group of friends or just savor sincerity and peace on a wonderful aim. Charles Schultz's characters are winners. It's no wonder they've been charming us all since the 1950's. There are extras here but "A Charlie cook Christmas" needs no support - it IS one of those magic moments of our generation and will continue to charm into the future. Share it with the family this season and you'll not regret it - in fact you'll all be enriched. The animation is simplistic crude even outdated. But the sincerity and honesty behind the plot of A Charlie Brown Christmas overrides whatever technical inadequacies the production has. The quality of the animation actually adds to the charm of the viewing experience much like watching another Christmas classic. It's A Wonderful Life in black and color. A Charlie Brown Christmas is one Christmas tradition that families should consider along with trimming the tree. Christmas story reading. Christmas dinner and carol singing. hello i love this video i thught my aunt and her friend marna would desire it and she did but marna was extremly upset with the rating of the whole penutts pack so anyway me my aunt and marna wached harlie brown christmas every year now 2345 5 years abd we koved it i liked it a lot too oh my word i dislike to go to clemeltin park so i will not clode i will enjoy waching this video every yer just llike always last year was the first year aunt dawn had ever been late in 5th grade but in 4rth grade she turnd on the chanel where me my mom marna and my mom wached it Blogcritics: Joe Pass handles Christmas standards with as much ease as his fabled treatment of play standards.
