"Easy Homemade Christmas Gifts Presents Ideas" posted by ~Ray

It's Christmas time! I don't know about you but I've already blown my 2007 shopping budget. How about some easy do it yourself (DIY) ideas for how to make gifts for family friends kids and teachers? I've scoured the internet and found some fun easy ideas that don't require too much time or skill. They are creative and fun to make and receive. Please feel free to leave a comment with your homemade Christmas gift ideas. Custom kits: These are fun ideas for kids and can be assembled from items that have been in the junk drawer for years. You can make a custom kit for your child to care for their stuffed animals (pet supplies toys biscuits) dolls (baby wipes newborn diapers pacifier) or aspiring chef (a mixing spoon cookie cutters measuring cups and apron). Think of what your child loves and get creative! Or go with an adult theme and make a romance kit (fake rose petals. Sparkling cider candles) or stress buster kit (aspirin earplugs eye mask). Take the time to personalize your gift for extra credit! . Jar Gifts/Recipes: You can buy mason jars or use recycled jars from home for a wide variety of gift ideas. Assemble an entire recipe ( are some recipe ideas and are even more recipes) or provide a sample treat along with the recipe to make it. For example you could provide the recipe for homemade play dough along with a small sample in a baggie. This is my favorite play dough recipe - it lasts for months if kept in a Tupperware and has a great rubbery consistency:How to Make Basic Play Dough:2 cups flour2 cups water1 cup salt4 tablespoons cream of tartar2 teaspoons vegetable oilFood coloring or Kool aid mix Directions:Mix flour water salt cream of tartar and oil in saucepan. Add food coloring/Koolaid to mixture. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly. Remove from heat when dough forms a ball. Cool for five minutes before using. To make the playdough even more fun mix in some small googley eyes glitter sand or sequins after the dough has cooled. You can also mix in a scent. Use any kind of extract (vanilla banana peppermint) nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice are some more tips for working with and making play dough/clay. Dog Bone Wreath: Make sure your pets are included in the fun this Xmas. Make a simple wreath from dog biscuits and chew toys to hang over their water bowl or dog house. You can use simple wire to tie it together or go more ornate by using an actual wreath frame and decorating it appropriately. . Plaster casts: Although this project may take a little more prep once you have the supplies it's an easy creative and unique gift. Find your favorite sea shells use your baby's hand a fruit or any other interesting object in your home to create a custom molded dish. Dishes can be used for jewelery soap sewing supplies etc. I love this idea because you can stay simple or go all out with painting and decorating your mold. . Heat Saver Animals: These are a perfect gift for those in a cold climate. I remember these lining all the doorways of my home as a child. And with all the fun stockings and socks out there you can make a fun durable animal with almost no effort. . Homemade Postcards: Another great way to include your child in holiday gift-giving. What are you going to do with all those art projects he brings home from school? Or are you an artist looking for some recognition? Scan your pictures and print them out on cardstock to create custom postcards for family and friends. You can copy and print the photos yourself or run to the copy shop and have them copy and cut the cards for you. . Gag Gifts: Make sure the recipient has a sense of humor before trying these! Snowman Poop: Fill a bag with mini marshmallows tie it up and attach the below poem with a ribbon. For extra effect put the marshmallows in a brown paper bag singe the edges of the bag with a match and leave it on their doorstep:Santa looked at his list,Even checked it twice. And he has seen that youhave not been very nice. Since coal's so expensive,Here's the scoop,Santa's filling your stockingwith SNOWMAN'S POOP!Magic Reindeer Food: A jar of glittery goodness to sprinkle on the lawn for Rudolf and his crew. Great fun for kids. Box of Love: Cheesy though it is this one is my absolute favorite! It's so simple and completely charming if it's given by a child. Trust me the grandparents will melt. Use any small boxes you'd like and wrap them up (jewelry boxes work very well and are inexpensive at craft stores). Try and get your child to help decorating and coloring the box with ribbons sequins glitter etc. Then print this poem on cardstock and attach to the present: This is a very special giftThat you can never see. The reason it's so special is,It's just for you from me. Whenever you are happy,or even feeling blue. You only have to holdthis gift and knowI think of you. You never can unwrap itPlease leave the ribbon tied. Just hold the box closeto your heart,It's filled with love inside. I'll update this list as I find more simple inexpensive gift ideas. Merry Christmas everyone! Remember that the real gift is in the giving. But that doesn't mean I don't want tons of presents from everyone... I love the heat saver animals and I have made something similar though not as cute. Warning: do not fill with rice unless you want Mickey and his friends to invade your house. I would love to find an alternative "filler." I tried cat litter (minus the litter) and it worked well but became pretty dusty after a few years. Speaking of rice.. you can make reuseable heating pads with rice. Just sew a small pillow shape or better yet a long tube shape fill it with rice and sew the end closed. You can throw it in the microwave or keep it in the freezer and use it on sore muscles and etc. Just microwave it for a minute or so and it retains the heat for a long time. When I was a kid it was very cold in our house at night and I filled a tube sock with rice tied a knot in the end microwaved it and it kept my feet warm until I went to sleep. It also did a great job defrosting the window of my pinto when I went to work in the mornings just heat and put on the dash... You can use whole wheat if you don't want to use rice. Yeah the box of love doesn't really seem like your style. I was surprised you would risk your reputation like that saying it was your favorite. I would have expected you to say something more along the lines of: "Now this totally made me gag to even write about it but here it is..." But I melt at anything my kids give me. So I guess it's all good. Plus who doesn't love homemade? Great googleable post. Hopefully you make a little cash off of it. Very smart. Good luck. Love the ideas. My sister actually had a "quick cheap n' easy" crafting session this morning. We beaded really easy necklaces. I'm also making SUPER easy card sets for a few of my cousins (spray adhesive on a full sheet of crumpled smoothed out tissue paper. Lay plain "folder style" cards on the paper cut them out and your done! Quick cheap n' easy.) We're dipping plastic spoons in chocolate and pairing them with some really nice cocoa for the sisters in our relief society. Oh and my sister loves to make those grocery bag holders - it's a tube of fabric with a loop on one end to hang it and elastic on both ends to keep the bags in. Totally useful! And I don't know why everyone's getting in such a snit over the Box of Love! That's an awesome gift to get for someone you visit teach or. people like that. A secret Santa gift? Part of the 12 days of Christmas? There are a lot of possibilities - I don't think anyone was suggesting that an empty box with a sappy poem was the only thing you present to to the love of your life on Christmas morning. Or a kid getting it for mom? Awesome! I also would be a pretty ticked to get an empty box with a sappy poem. Where's my bubble bath? My scarf? My cheap slippers??? Sure it's a great gift to give.. but to receive? Nuh-uh. Okay a better home-made Christmas gift. I'm a big fan of compilation CD's myself. They can be made with popular songs from the recipient's senior year or good work-out music house cleaning music parent-friendly kid music etc. Takes a lot of thought but not a lot of money. I could really use some heatsaver animals. I might make some for myself. I always make choclate covered pretzels and attach a homemade ornament. They are so easy. Just melt caramel with some milk ( to thin it). Dip the pretzel rod in the carmel and let cool in the fridge. Then melt cholate and dip the carmel rod in it and cover the final product with crushed heath bars. So easy and you can make tons of varieties. Shove them in some pretty cellophane and they look expensive. But really they cost nothing! My favorite gift idea is some kind of kit--we gave my best girl friend and her hunny a "honeymoon" kit for their wedding with bubble bath pizza coupons candles sparkling cider a deck of cards etc. I also do a movie night kit with a $5 blockbuster card a couple packs of popcorn and some candy and of course it comes in a popcorn bowl... Good ideas. One of my favorite homemade gift ideas is very cheap and very easy. My sister gave this to one of her friends when she was about 7(we still tease her about it now). Okay so you just take a banana peel the banana eat the banana now get what ever you can find to decorate the peel. And... WHALA! you have a very cheap eco friendly gift this is a real pleaser;) Are we going to start talking about bad presents? The banana peel one is pretty sweet. I have a few goodies. One year for a White Elephant present I received a used still wet from the shower stick of deodorant. Last year I got a female catheter at a friend's White Elephant party. I'm hosting another one this year and can't wait to see what turns up. I'm fighting the urge to wrap up a wet diaper. I agree that an empty box even filled with love is not going to melt everyone but the idea behind it should tell us something: a note expressing an honest sentiment will go a long way toward making every gift special. We don't have to spend hours looking for that "perfect" gift and we don't have to spend lots of money. The art in gift-giving comes with making the other person feel special. So even a candle will do the trick if you accompany it with a note that reads: whenever you light this remember the light and love you've brought to my life over the years. Suddenly that small candle feels like a big and special gift! It's all in the note. Holiday Blessings. Patricia http://www psheehy com/ I just found your site and I have a couple of ideas to add. I am scouring the internet looking for christmas coloring pages that I will put into a home-made activity book for my girls. I also made a X-mas treasure hunt with clues that take them all over the house. They will end up at the oven and look inside for their treasure.. pre-made gingerbread house pieces that they can put together and decorate! Talk about making a reasonably small gift into an extra special experience!!! holly crap if you have never seen/had/heard off sparkling cider you are missing out.. no offence. I am 15 and belive me,the box of love is a good gift for christ-loving grandparents, parents that favour the "baby" thats 6 years old or think their kid can do no wrong. You really have to know the person you are giving it too. And dont let the kid deccorate the box they ruin them. The box of love thing is great for party favors! A place where I used to work did this for the company Christmas Luncheon (in addition to providing the meal and having presents for all employee's children and a small financial token of their appreciation for the employees). There was one at every place setting. I thought it was really neat and still have mine that I put on the tree every year.

"Britney Spears gets the kids for Christmas" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-06-07 06:34:24

Britney Spears will spend Christmas morning with her kids a judge ruled yesterday. Britney and Kevin Federline were ordered to come up with a visitation plan for the holidays at their last hearing. Kevin had the children for Thanksgiving and it looks like Britney is getting them on Jesus’ birthday reports: "Kevin thinks it's absolutely allot that they both get to see the kids over the holidays," said Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan. What kind of gifts do you think Britney Spears bought her kids? All I can picture is used women’s razors in Burger King wrappers which ordain go well with the half-eaten chicken wing tree ornaments. These kids are going to grow up and beat the living snot out of a mall Santa. Of course you would too if you were six and asked Santa for a ride but instead you got a Duracell battery inside of a Twinkie. I can't hate on her alter now. She looks so sad. I feel... I feel sad for her. She needs friends. It's getting to the inform where I'm worried about Britney Spears. The girl I used to dislike on from the get go saying. "She's not that hot people! I can tell! She has such fat potential in those tree trunk legs! Her voice is nothing but whining! She's a slutbag!" but now it's desire.. she's a human at rock furnish and we all act to pound her into the ground. 12 kicks to the head11 slaps with a dirty douchebag10 Social Workers9 Bad Reviews8 hits of change7 bottles of Jack6 pipes a-glowingFIVE FAAAKE TEETH4 Calling Cards3 cut Ticklers2 coat glovesAnd her car wrapped around a fir tree kevin got her to take the kids for christmas by promising they would come with a "magic 8roll" she's going to spend all day in tears wondering why her 8ball won't fit in her nostrils meanwhile her neglected kids small fry and tater tot will set another series of fires in california and brit will suffer all custodial rights in this life and the next oh that devilish mr federline. #9 Fruitcakes never die! They never deteriorate and nobody ever eats them so they last forever. If only 1 in 10,000 people in this country alter a new one each year that's over 30,000 (!) additional cakes added to the supply every Christmas season. Sooner or later we ordain all get one as they continuously and eternally circulate through the send. Nothing towards you personally but "MILF" is the only cerebrate why Britney had kids in the first place. That tells you her mentality and the deteriorating mentality of young women everywhere (the ones in the public eye that is). 12; That might have been my mom's idea. I was born close to Christmas in a large family and every year - BAM - my mom does her best Emeril impression and slaps a bear cake down on the counter that some Aunt somewhere sent in the mail (must undergo been one of the rich ones on be of the postage requirement) and says "here's your birthday cake" - I actually desire them now. That's probably a self defense mechanism. This trailer skank has some serious mental problems. Check out how she looks at the camera. It is like you are staring at a 5 year old. No wonder her parenting skills drink she has the mentality of a toddler. 26: OhHellNo. If the dimmest and most colorblind of those drunken elephants that Paris is protecting should go up employed in a sheltered workshop this is the pattern they would create by vomitting their foraged stomach contents onto a burlap bag. please notice from a make standpoint the amazing blow jacket combo jesus christ between the extensions and the outfits she really kills me! she kinda looks cute and like she has a super pretty approach from the far away pictures when you click on the thumbnails the pics are TOOOO close up though it is really like a magnifying furnish i'd rather her change desire a little kid than in baby doll cut hippie shit with stains and sweat trapping boots. First and foremsot. Brit's kids be her. And they need normalcy. Studeies show that kids with two solid parents undergo fewer problems later in life. For the kids sake some holiday measure with wife in a good thing. Having said that. Brit needs to get her $h!t together already. She is a ticking time bomb of self destruction. We all know she has medicate and alcohol problems. Yet she ordain not approach it and the populate now around her coddle her and hide it. Others who used to be around her tried to help with no success. An intervention is needed here. Whree are her parents? Her mom? Her dad? Her sister? Time to step up family. Or she is the next Dana Plato. As for presents. I disbelieve she got them anything because it wouldn't become to her to do so. Certainly she wouldn't do it herself. Maybe - maybe - she'll remember to tell an assistant to get something for them. Maybe. Is it me or does it be like her lips undergo shrunk back to normal already? Thank God! Actually. I have to say her make up looks good here. It almost looks like she got one of her old professional make up artists to put her face on. If she had a good weave and a hot outfit on she would be like her former self. She also looks happy could it be she's on a "high" right now? Bi-polar y'all. What's up with all the cutesy faces? I hate when adult women do that. It reminds me of the video that was going around a while approve where Kevin would ask her questions and she would breathe or ramble in a do by express. This is flantastic! alter up on the heels fo yasterday news that brit is adapting chinese kids come this buttful story of chrismas. kFed is mad I bet and that is a good thing becuse he is so worng about justt about everything and that is saying a hit lot dont you think. This will be a greet chismas for brit and her tow sons becaus e they love her and you can see it in theyre eyes and all that. I can only hope that after chrismat that the boy be with her forever becasue thats where boys shouldb be with they care who loves them to much. Britney--see and ENDOCRINOLOGIST--you have a thyroid problem (it happens after pregnancy and especially after two so change state in a row)--the eyebrows are a dead giveaway. See Dr. Ted Friedman in LA come Beverly bear on. He teaches at UCLA and sees patients at Cedars Sinai.. www goodhormones comThis isn't you you have a treatable medical problem and then you won't need to self-medicate. PunkA @ #30 - normalcy? solid parents? its fucking BRITNEY bitch get serious!!!! Bunny Butt @ $37 - when did she EVER use an assistant to assist? Instead of hiring people to be her "friends" bcos assistants could have saved her a lot of grief over the measure few months.... Anexio @ #48 - You Are The Most Special Britany Fan Ever. And I Heart You. Ummm. I actually DO have a thyroid problem however no one has (as of yet) been talented enough to point it out just from sight. You broke into her accommodate and drew her daub for TSH levels in her sleep didn't you? Admit it. Yeah maybe I'm being a pedantic grammar nazi but it should be "Jesus's birthday". See "Jesus" is a proper noun so when it comes to possessive apostrophe it's treated desire any other noun :-) I think she looks quite good there. Quite decent looking but her skin is terrible up change state. I think it's maybe the blonde hair making her be better? Like how she used to be. She looks sad (inside) though. As we are building up to Christmas a child's memory is resurfacing. In the late seventies the first Christmas in my new family's home in France took place. As the walls were only plastered a late uncle drew a magnificent Bug Bunny. I was in admiration before cover was applied. A couple of years ago as we were about to redecorate the dwell. I wondered if it were still there. My parents did not remember the drawing. Yet they unveiled the Bugs Bunny as I recalled it the carrot still looking as fresh as 30 years ago!!! The only memory error was on the exact location of the conjoin of art. November 28. 2007While the origins of Christmas carol The Twelve Days of Christmas may be a mystery one thing is certain: it is getting more costly to buy your adjust like all the items mentioned. It would cost US$78,100 (HK$609,180) to buy the 364 items from a single partridge in a pear tree to the 12 drummers drumming repeatedly on each day as the song suggests according to the annual PNC Christmas Price Index compiled by PNC Wealth Management. The cost is up 4 percent from US$75,122 measure year. Buying each item in the song just once would be US$19,507 up 3.1 percent from measure year's US$18,921. PNC which has been calculating the be since 1984 said the list mirrors actual economic trends. Helping displace the be up this year is the US minimum contend bring up which bumped the cost of eight maids a-milking from about US$41 to nearly US$47. "They have not had an increase since 1997," said Jim Dunigan managing executive of investment for PNC. "The good news is if you're a maid a-milking they ordain also see an increase in 2008 and 2009." Higher food costs pushed the six geese a-laying from US$300 to US$360. And five gold rings will be US$395 up 21.5 percent from measure year's US$325. Not everything is more costly. The determine of a partridge (US$150) two turtle doves (US$40) and three cut hens (US$45) remained the same as did seven swans a-swimming at US$4,200 and nine ladies dancing at US$4,759. PNC checks jewelry stores dance companies pet stores and other sources to compile the enumerate. Dunigan said. (AP)This photo provided by the White House shows President Bush bear on going over a draft of Thursday’s address to the nation with members of the White accommodate speechwriting cater on Thursday in the Oval Office of the color House in Washington. From left are: Marc Thiessen the president. account McGurn and Christopher Michel. WASHINGTON (. ) -President Bush whose blow up of more than 20,000 troops into Iraq significantly reduced violence in key regions announced Thursday that he would mouth to reduce forces to pre-surge levels if conditions accept. “Those of us who believe success in Iraq is essential to our security and those who believe we should carry our troops home have been at odds,” furnish planned to say in a speech to the nation from the Oval Office. “Now because of the measure of success we are seeing in Iraq we can begin seeing troops come home.” Bush decided to accept the recommendations of Gen. David Petraeus commander of U. S forces in Iraq and Ryan Crocker. U. S ambassador to Iraq. In remarks prepared for his eighth prime-time communicate on the Iraq war. Bush said: “Tonight I want to speak to members of the United States Congress. I ask you to connect me in supporting the recommendations command Petraeus has made and the troop levels he has asked for.” Petraeus told furnish that the success of the blow up would accept for 2,200 Marines to go domiciliate this month without being replaced and an Army brigade of 3,500 troops to come home by Christmas. Unless conditions deteriorate the drawdown would continue through next summer with the overall force being ultimately reduced from 20 brigades to 15. That means troop levels in Iraq ordain begin to displace from the current level of 160,000 to 140,000 or fewer over the next 10 months. Bush aides cautioned the drawdown could be reversed at any measure if violence increases. “The president is very alter that we want to adapt to conditions on the fasten,” a senior administration official said. “Not the calendar.” That is at odds with congressional Democrats who had long hoped to use this month’s progress report by Petraeus and Crocker as a way to end the war once and for all. Instead they are grumbling that furnish has succeeded in perpetuating pre-surge march levels into the final months of his presidency. Democrats were not helped by a full-page advertisement in The New York Times on Monday that savaged Petraeus as “General break Us” and accused him of “cooking the books” in Iraq. The ad was purchased by the liberal advocacy assort MoveOn org which has become increasingly influential in the Democratic Party. The ad put Democrats on the defensive as they tried to dodge Republican demands that they denounce the ad. Uh-oh. More bad news for Clinton. Reid. Pelosi and the be of the quitters. Hopefuly we'll find the missing soldiers alive and safe. That is if the creeps that I just mentioned don't yank the funding needed to back up search for them. I just don't see why they dislike our military so much. They're willing to give up on all of the recent gains we've made as the surge continues to succeed. Fortunately. Democrats suffered another blackball in defunding our troops before the job is done. Democrats.. what a bunch of dopes. Let's not forget that we comfort undergo military bases and personnel in Kosovo and Bosnia. A legacy of Bubba's aforementioned "peacekeeping" campaigns. Funny how the furnish haters never seem to want to discuss that or the U. S deaths during that time. According to the Congressional Research function there were 7,500 active duty military deaths during a "time of peace" of the Clinton Years. Guess the Media missed all those deaths from Bubba's "peacekeeping" campaigns in Bosnia and Kosovo. Will the violence end? We must all pray for peace and that our leaders will live up to their promises of preserving the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Go to this tribute to our troops in Afghan and Iraq; write in Grandpa Clarence Jones construe his story and comprehend to his tribute song. Thanks. B. L from Alum Brige Looks like Osama is on the ropes. I guess somethings working. Now if we get Iran to get back in their caves things might just calm down. DO NOT choose HILLARY!! Socks was a hold. Who does that? Scary. That little two-faced "Shiite" Maliki friend of Ahmadinedab obviously wants it both ways.. He wants the West to rid them of all the bad guys and to build up that country better than it has ever been. with our billions of (debt) dollars & thousands of our best lives. and apparently it should all come together with out a mishap. It has always been a Muslim Jihadist tactic to hide behind women & chidren causing as many deaths as possible as come up as to affirm deaths that never happened! When Americans or Westerners cause accidental collateral damage. Malarky makes a big be! Wouldn't you know. Iraqis have already learned the Infidel art of lawsuit abuse. As far as I am concerned that ingrate Iraqi gov owes us! At this point what is their alternative... We & the Ausie forces etc could leave the incompetent ingrate "Malarki" Gov to fend for its self in which case their would be chaos with most of their Iraqi civilans slaughted by other Muslim barbarians.. WOW! What a affect! Doesnt this wait sound familiar to everyone. I guess we can blame the death of the 2 civilians killed to the beautify Govt. Or should we blame Blackwater for the deaths afterall they are gung-ho and came to the bring through! With President of Iran hear how is National Security handling this if these allegations are true? He states his religion ordain not accept him to lie, come up it does express you can lie to deliver lives check it out his people affirm this. Why does the President of Iraq get a endorse to visit Columbia University and injure off his vile mouth? The Secretary of express is responsible for issuing all visa's. So why doesn't she do her job? The story should be headlined " Bush's Private mercenaries blackball alleged civilians" Those alleged civilians who were allegedly killed by our bad boys of Texas are just a clump of whiners. If they don't like how we occupy their arrive they should go to Syria and act for thenext/ last war. Coming to a fascist state ready to develop in its Ashcroftian splendor. Thanks Paul Bremer for the nice Iraqui constitution I can't wait process the election and a Democratic president holds office. Nothing will change. Let them sit in the hot lay look at the dire reality and watch them start realizing how complicated it is. They will do nothing. Just like Clinton did nothing after we lost hundreds of troops to a suicide bomber... our goverment and our justice system is a joke, goverment runs around like bunch kids fighting with each other and our justice department is a joke, when they catch crooks ,judges move them suffer with a slap on the hand ,i think its time the populate cleaned house from the furnish to the top and displace the message we are tired of the b s all the way round. Who is who's the allies is any ones guess it is inhumane to just leave but we need to be cautious of all very complicated. Chinese hostages were let go now our children have to all be tested for bring about create? Who is our US allies? Do we need a new leader to peace talk? I say Congress has my vote. Will Iraq war became Muslims religions war against America-Bush war policy? ordain Iraq war became the Regions war between Ottomans Sunni-Shia Safavid? Will Iraq war became civic war between Ottomans Sunni against Kurdistan-Shia Safavid. Did furnish.
