They’re all here. Bing. Elvis. Rudolf. EXCLUSIVE JOSH GROBAN FROM NOEL!. NEW ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS. “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. SINGING REINDEER AND “WHITE CHRISTMAS”. Nat “King”Cole. Chipmunks. Jingle Cats. Neil Diamond. Band-Aid. EXCLUSIVE UNEDITED CHRIS BROWN “THIS CHRISTMAS”. Ashley Tisdale. Enya. Carpenters. Brenda Lee. Beach Boys. Sponge Bob. Perry Como. Alvin and the Chipmunks and so much more! HOURS AND HOURS OF FAMILY FUN with the original Christmas music clips and new Christmas Video animations! When Whoppy and Streaker were little more than kittens I sat down with them on their first Christmas Eve and sang Christmas songs on my guitar. Ten years later they’re playing Christmas songs for me that they found on the Internet! Sound outrageous? Not as outrageous as some of the the videos they found! Here are the Singing Reindeer and “White Christmas” by Clyde McPhatter and The Drifters one of my aunt Wan’s favorites which my friend Publicist/ Writer Gary Stromberg sent me as a Christmas card. Growing up in the 50’s. Irving Berlin was one of my greatest influences. He wrote other classic songs like “Easter Parade’. “True Love”. “Always” and “God Bless America” but none ever touched as deeply as his classic. “White Christmas”. When I started in the music business. I remember going from door to door in 1650 Broadway trying to get my songs published. One day I walked into Irving Berlin Music which occupied a suite of offices on the second floor. I asked the receptionist If I could see Mr. Berlin and play him a few of my songs. Holding back a smile she says. “I’m sorry but Mr. Berlin no longer comes into the office…besides this company only publishes Irving Berlin songs!” This “Brash Brotha’” from the Bronx smiles and asks. “In that case may I just take a look at his piano?” She smiles back and says she shouldn’t be doing this…and takes me into the room where he did his writing. This is the instrument. I read about in Life Magazine. Berlin with no formal training was only able to play in the key of C. So he had this upright piano made with a “gear shift” to change keys or modulate with a flick of the wrist! Although I want to sit and play. I don’t want to overstep my bounds so I just gently and respectfully touched it on my way out. IT’S CHRISTMAS MORNING AND LESS THAN AN HOUR AGO YOU TUBE PUT UP JOSH GROBAN’S ASTONISHING PERFORMANCE ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA OF. “IT CAME UPON A MIDNIGHT CLEAR” from his current number one album “NOEL”… BEST VERSION OF THE SONG THAT I’VE EVER HEARD! This song comes from first album I ever received. My Mother gave it to me along with my first phonograph. It’s “White Christmas” from the Elvis Christmas album which features “White Christmas”. The video footage shows personal home movies of Christmas at Graceland with the King. The Queen (Priscilla) and the Princess (Little Lisa Marie) JUST ADDED! It’s Olivia Newton John from her great new Christmas Album “Every time It Snows”…”A Mothers Christmas Wish” The next song. “Rudolf the Rednosed Reindeer” is one of the best known songs in the world. It was originally the B-side of a Gene Autry record. “If It Doesn’t Snow On Christmas” It was the first 78 I ever owned a gift from my uncle Mick and aunt Polly…to be played on the new phonograph my mother gave me! Johnny Marks the composer of “Rudolf” as well as “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” was definitely the King of Christmas? The song became so popular that everytime a reindeer was drawn or painted with a red nose he would get a royalty! Johnny was a character out of a Damon Runyan story hair slicked back 40’s style always nattily dressed the kind of a guy you’d see at the race track waiting in line at the $100 window. He was quiet and assuming most of the year but at Christmastime he’d be in his glory! I remember once in the mid-sixties during the holiday season. Johnny took my wife and I to lunch at Jack Dempseys’. The restaurant was located right next to the Brill Building and the poor man couldn’t take a bite without one his songwriter or publishing pals coming over to interrupt. Without question he was definitely one of my songwriting heroes! Here is an inventive animation of Regis Philbin singing. “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer” with cameo appearances by Kelly Ripa. Gelman and Donald Trump. We interrupt our program for a Christmas message from a twelve year old Michael Jackson. I wish I had a video of him doing a song I wrote with George S. Clinton. Jr. “Little Christmas Tree” from the Classic Motown Christmas album…but I don’t. Here’s that little booger with one of my favorites,”I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” I remember this one from when I was a kid! The original Rank-Bass “Frosty the Snowman” 25 minute cartoon narrated by Jimmy Durante JUST ADDED! Here’s Paul Evans’ just released animation for his FSA recording. “Santa’s Stuck Up In The Chimney” NEW!NEW! One of the best new Christmas songs to come out in a long time. “All I Want For Christmas Is A Soldier To Come Home” by Monty Lane Allen Last but certainly not least here’s a video of Bing Crosby. Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney in the finale of the 1954 Paramount film. “White Christmas” About ten years ago after inexplicable weakness and episodes of falling down in the street. I checked into UCLA Medical Center for 3 days of test. They kept me for 3 weeks! It was a few days before Christmas. I was in a ward with many who were far worse off than me…and we did our best to keep each others’ spirits up. Somehow. I lost my phone book and the only numbers that I could remember was my Mothers’ who had moved to West Virginia and that of my long time friend Alan O’Day who was on his way out of town. It’s a policy of most hospitals to send as many patients home for the holidays to be with their family and friends. Soon. I was the only one left in the ward since I had nowhere else to go. One lonely night as I sat feeling sorry for myself. I heard a group down the hall singing Christmas carols. I followed the voices to the the children’s ward…where I heard the joyous sounds of “Jingle Bells”. It was the Salvation Army passing out toys and candy and singing to the kids who were confined to their beds. I joined in on “Silent Night”. “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer” but when they started singing “White Christmas”. Tears started running down my face and I had to sit in another room to compose myself. This song written by Irving Berlin always brings back memories of family and friends in a snow covered New York City…flooding me with emotions. 10 years later. I told Toni Wine (”Candida”,”Groovy Kind Of Love”) I told her the story…and showed her some lyrics I had written that fateful night. “I Lose it When I Hear “White Christmas”. She loved it but wanted to make the story more universal. Over two writing sessions which we started on Irving Berlin’s piano that was given to Toni many years ago we came up with…. They can play “Jingle Bells” all daytalk about Santa’s SleighI’m alright on a very “Silent Night”But then my tears beginwhen they sing I can’t join in‘Cause I Lose it When I Hear “White Christmas” Bein’ without you just ain’t no funWhat kind of thrill is cookin’ for one? Can’t deny I wanna’ cry myself outHere’s to Holiday spiritdon’t wanna’ be anywhere near it‘Cause I Lose it When I Hear “White Christmas” OKAY…OKAY…SO YOU WANT SOME MORE?BONUS! Nookie’s Top Hanukkah and Christmas Videos includes Adam Sandler’s “HANUKKAH SONG” the Full Original Version of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and Burl Ives stop motion original “Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer”. JUST ADDED JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE. N SYNC. CARRIE UNDERWOOD. TOBY KEITH AND MUCH. MUCH MORE! SPECIAL ADDED ATTRACTION! My friend Laura Pinto just put up the Original video of “Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer” as sung by Gene Autry and the original “Christmas Song” by Alvin and the Chipmunks. “Little St. Nick” by Brian Wilson. Mariah Carey “All I Want For Christmas Is You” on her remarkable website! I sure hope you’ll all come by & check us out. Welcome back! I’ve missed your cool blogs all summer long but I know you’ve been busy working on your book. Looking forward to some news on that. Thanks so much for all of your hard work in compiling these videos. Much appreciated. You always do such a great job with your blogs and you’re an inspiration to me when it comes to the work I do with my own sites. One of my poor little neglected children websites is one that’s been online for a few years now yet I never seem to get around to updating it as much as I do the others. It’s a holiday lyrics archive called Christmas Rock and can be accessed at this URL: Inspired by your blog post. I will be adding a custom video player to the site within the next couple of days as well as lyrics to more holiday songs. Shameless plug here - the Christmas Podcast will hit the blogosphere on December 16th. It’ll be my 399th show too - and the Annual Coverville Countdown will be taking place the following week! Paul Evans emailed me a copy of “Santa’s Stuck Up In The Chimney”. Now that is a WONDERFUL video!!! I did a double take when I first saw “Santa’s Stuck Up” and didn’t see the last three words! Radiowise I don’t have anything planned for Christmas at this time but these days I am very busy doing radio interviews with many of the biggest recording artists of the 50s and 60s. (Plus C. W. McCall who is really a 70s act!) The interviews are archived on my Radio Page of the website Jersey Girls Sing! (www jerseygirlssing com). When the home page comes up you scroll down to the bottom and click on “Ronnie’s Radio Page” and you can listen to any of the 18 shows that I have posted. I just posted one with singer-songwriter Sonny Curtis (he wrote and sang the legendary “Mary Tyler Moore Theme” and wrote several other hits.) Other interview shows that are up include Bobby Vee the Chordettes. Duane Eddie. Ronnie Dove. Ron Dante (Archies and Cuff Links). Kathy Young. Gary Lewis. Jimmie Rodgers. Sue Thompson and many others. Those who would like to email me with comments about the shows and/or suggestions for future shows can do so at. Artie,Great to hear from you again my friend…I was fascinated to read about all these things you have mentioned including going into the Berlin office and checking out his famous piano…. The songs and video links you have posted are a “groove”Thanks for the cool article…Merry Christmas. Artie,(coming up soon)and congratulations on the milestone number of hits on your website! Your blog is always the greatest. Artissimo. These Christmas clips are terrific. I am telling everyone I know to log on and enjoy your generosity to your readers. You are always delighting and informing us. Have wonderful Holiday Season. Thanks for your friendship and encouragement over the last year. You’re the best. Artissimo! I don’t even want to think about how much time and effort went into that list! Only about a billion memories there! One of the first albums I ever owned and of course now have on CD is “Elvis’ Christmas Album” I have played I Lose it When I Hear “White Christmas”. For many of my friends and they all love it. All I can say is it’s a great song waiting to be discovered! Have a great Christmas and may the New Year bring you health and happiness. (and a little wealth too LOL)Your Friend, Thanks for including my little “wanna-be” XMAS classic on the list and thanks to all the radio stations and podcasts that have played the song over the past couple of decades. Hard to believe it was nineteen years ago when the song debuted on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles. A special thanks to Kevin Weatherly for his support in adding “CHRISTMAS IN MALIBU” way back when! You’re a real angel of music past … the stories always seem to take me back to the days I loved so much. 1650 Broadway … the Brill Building … cool!Your career and its history is rich and your path crossed the paths of giants of Rock and Roll. And some not so giants … I was so happy when Midnight Mary happened for you years a go. Oh what a demo … I heard it before the world heard it!I hope that you would keep the stories coming and that somehow they might play a part in the history book of Rock and Roll. Great job compiling these videos! I’m still making my way through them and I’m luvvin’ what I’ve seen so far. You’ve got a few of my favorites in here - among them Wham’s “Last Christmas” and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” - and I also enjoyed Adam Sandler’s “Hanukkah Song.” I’d never seen the video for TSO’s “Christmas in Sarajevo” before although this song is played every year on my local radio station and it was wonderful to watch. It took a lot of work on your part to put this blogpost together and it’s really appreciated. You did your usual excellent job with this and you’re really helping to bring the Christmas spirit alive. I've been sick -- a bit of a chest thing where it was painful to breathe -- but with the help of friend wife and Breathe Easy tea and a lot of bed rest. I'm back. There was an interesting cartoon in The New York Times Week in Review. It showed a woman at bar talking to Santa Claus and the Thanksgiving turkey was saying that the jolly old elf wasn't letting him undergo his turn at the girl. Well what else is new. Advertisers have been pitching holiday gifts since before Columbus Day. There used to be a time when everything was closed on two days: Thanksgiving and Christmas. Well that's gone for Thanksgiving. In addition to the fight between Target and Wal Mart and Kohl's over who opens first Friday (one of them opens at 4 a m.). Comp USA is having a sale starting at 9 p m. Wednesday. It's nuts but since the economy is in the dumper and you haven't sold your Christmas stuff between Columbus Day and now. I guess you want a back up come about before tossing everything into the bargain bin. Boy have things changed since I was in retailing. When I was in school in the 1960s. I worked for a store called Kennedy's of New England. I don't think it had anything to do with that family but it was an upscale clothing store. I worked there from September until after Christmas. There were these really ugly sweaters a sickly dark Army green with grey leather patches on the front and the elbows. They sold for $35 when a good dress shirt went for $5. They just were gathering clean and I mentioned it to my impress. He said to throw them into a drawer and remind him of them near Thanksgiving. I did and he told me to mark them up to $50 and put them out on the first Monday in December. I thought he was nuts. He wasn't. They were gone before the end of the week. When I asked him how he knew he said you could sell anything at Christmas time. To paraphrase Arlo. I didn't come to talk to you about sales. I came to talk about Christmas. I'm with those who say it should be called Christmas not "the holidays."As an observant Orthodox Jew. I'm here to express you that it's not my holidays. Hanukkah has nothing to do with Christmas and with gift-giving. The only reason Jews give gifts on Hanukkah is so the kids won't go that their Christian friends are getting gifts and they're not. Sure there's Hanukkah gelt a little money but nothing like the raft of gifts given for Christmas. This year the timing is not even close. Hanukkah is over weeks before Christmas and even if one believes one should give gifts for Hanukkah as many Jews do the holiday is over nearly two weeks before Christmas. It's not my holiday. This is America a Christian nation as we have been repeatedly told. In that case. Christians should be able to get together their holiday in peace without worrying about upsetting me. I'm not upset by their having their holidays. You want to decorate the light poles fine. You want to put up a Christmas channelise on the town green fine as long as you don't say we can't put up a Hanukkah menorah. In New Haven it's not a problem because the Green is privately owned and you can do anything you want as long as the Green committee approves. I'm upset when you say we have to say your prayers in public schools. I'm upset when you say we have to say your prayers at public functions. I'm upset when the idiots who program radio stations play nothing but Christmas carols on EACH AND EVERY station on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. There are stations that play really far out rock each day and on Christmas they compete the audio equivalent of the Yule log. That I'm upset about but not calling Christmas Christmas. Page 2We got a fund-raising mailing from Mitt Romney today (Nov. 21. 2007). It was a puzzlement at first. We are hardly registered Republicans and those who analyze households could evaluate out there was no way we would give money to Romney. But then it came alter. It trumpeted Romney as being the only Republican who would do anything about all those horrible people from other countries who sneaked into the U. S and were ruining our economy. Romney told how as governor of Massachusetts he "deputized" (quotes his) the state police to enforce federal immigration laws already on the books. That means no "sanctuary cities" (again quotes are his.)Aha!! It became clear. New Haven is a sanctuary city and he's trolling those who are unhappy about that fact to give him. That's what ol' Mitt was up to. Well as I toss his nasty note into the trash. I can say "no sale" to Mitt. It's not that I'm thrilled about having millions of people in the country illegally. I recognize the fact they are here. I don't like the fact that New Haven's mayor is recruiting illegals to come to New Haven for whatever reason but I'm not going to buy into Romney's Draconian plan to make it hard for the illegals to improve themselves. He also doesn't say what he would do with the illegals who are already here. Maybe he feels that by making life so hard for them that they'll leave. Rich-guy Romney may not realize it but that's not going to work because there is no way that Romney could legally make their lives worse than it was in the nations they left. Page 3Three cheers for Mike Lowell and the Boston Red Sox. Lowell left a lot of money and the fourth year of a contract on the table to re-sign with the Sox for three more years. I'm thrilled. Lowell defines categorise in the way he plays the leadership role he takes in the clubhouse and in the community and now in electing to stay with the Sox instead of a four-year. $50 million deal with the Phillies. He wanted to stay with an outfit that would at least contest for the championship and he liked playing in Boston. And three cheers for the Sox management. They re-signed pitcher Curt Schilling and Lowell two guys who are along in years (in baseball years anyway) choosing to go with class and experience rather than just youth. A win-win for the Sox the players and the fans. Page 4To all who will read this a very happy Thanksgiving. Until next time... After decades in newsrooms from the smallest weeklies to the nation's largest newspaper. I have a few things to say. As a fellow journalist said. I've earned that alter and have the background to alter it meaningful. Therefore. I will comment on the news or issues I find important or interesting. I'm also a baseball fan and belong to the Major League Baseball bloggers group. The bug at the top of this intro will get you to that Web site. I'm upset when the idiots who program radio stations play nothing but Christmas carols on EACH AND EVERY station on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. There are stations that play really far out rock each day and on Christmas they play the audio equivalent of the Yule log. That I'm upset about but not calling Christmas Christmas. Page 2We got a fund-raising mailing from Mitt Romney today (Nov. 21. 2007). It was a puzzlement at first. We are hardly registered Republicans and those who analyze households could figure out there was no way we would give money to Romney. But then it came clear. New Haven is a sanctuary city and he's trolling those who are unhappy about that fact to support him. Lowell defines class in the way he plays the leadership role he takes in the clubhouse and in the community and now in electing to stay with the Sox instead of a four-year. Page 4To all who will construe this a very happy Thanksgiving. Until next time... After decades in newsrooms from the smallest weeklies to the nation's largest newspaper. I have a few things to say. As a fellow journalist said. I've earned that right and undergo the background to make it meaningful. Therefore. I will comment on the news or issues I find important or interesting. I'm also a baseball fan and belong to the Major unify Baseball bloggers group. The bug at the top of this intro ordain get you to that Web site. "Listen to Thanksgiving Hymns and 6000 Others for Free at Cyber ..." posted by ~Ray

advance modify at 7:45 p m. Dec. 1: The Cyber Hymnal place is back up. I just listened to the Doxology and “The come down Lay on the fasten,” the sing often used as an anthem (the first I remember singing with youth choir at my childhood church). But I’m leaving up the Nov. 29 modify because you may be to use Hymn Site as a back-up if Cyber Hymnal goes drink again. Jan modify at 5:25 p m. Nov. 29: The Cyber Hymnal site seems to undergo crashed — let’s hope temporarily — since I posted this. The cerebrate worked without problems for days. But at this writing you can’t reach Cyber Hymnal either from here or the link on Google. Until the place is up again you can hear the music and find the words to hymns at HymnSite. HymnSite isn’t as easy to search as Cyber Hymnal and may have fewer hymns but has many of the same elements. Jan Today I was looking for facts to add to a ingeminate of the day about a Thanksgiving hymn and found a great site called Cyber Hymnal that lets you comprehend for free to the music of more than 6000 hymns and Gospel songs. Cyber Hymnal also has the words and background of tunes pictures of authors or composers a few musical scores and more. It offers 29 hymns by J. S. Bach alone including such chart-busters as “Jesu. Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “Von Himmel Hoch.” The place is just what its label implies — the online equivalent of the most extensive hymnal you could wish to sight slotted into a pew except that it lets you comprehend to the music instead of reading the scores. And you can transfer for free anything that’s out of copyright. So this is the place to go if you’d like to hear the Thanksgiving hymns “Now Thank We All Our God,” “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “We Gather Together” (the only one of the three that’s non-Trinitarian in all verses). Cyber Hymnal also lets you listen to Christmas carols and patriotic songs such as “O Canada,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Eternal Father. Strong to Save” (the Navy sing). And if you’re getting married in a perform soon you can comprehend any sing that could be played at your wedding. Be sure to listen to the traditional — and beat — version of the classic wedding sing “like Divine. All Loves Excelling” on Cyber Hymnal before somebody talks you into the alter setting that has change state popular without my consent. (Are you going to arouse me to the wedding?) If you don’t care for Thanksgiving hymns but want to comprehend to some of the most stirring music ever written use the title examine drive on Cyber Hymnal to be for “Joyful. "Wait until after Thanksgiving to turn on Christmas lights" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-01 21:29:09

Many Wichitans smartly put up their outdoor Christmas lights and decorations while the defy was warm. But would they mind waiting until after we celebrate Thanksgiving before turning the lights on? Especially when Thanksgiving is so early this year. It’s bad enough that some retailers put out Christmas items before Halloween and that a Wichita communicate displace has already started playing Christmas carols. Posted by Phillip Brownlee I don't be to see christmas lights before christmas toughen either. However. I did put up lights for my grandparents but only as a practical means. She's nearly alter and the bright runway call lights drink her sidewalk help her in and out of the house when it is dark. The regular solar lights are not bright enough. I put my lights on my accommodate this past pass (only to not put them up in the cold). That doesn't mean that I've plugged them in though (our family puts everything up on "color Friday"). That crap drives me bananas. Why don't we make all of these holidays into one month desire Roman-style festival? We could call it Saturnalia. I suppose putting Kwanzaa lights up wouldn't be that bad. I'd go for that. BTW what do you actually do for Kwanzaa? The lighten and tasteful spattering of lights are attractive. It is the monster attrations with the thousands of flickering lights and trashy blow-up ornaments/decorations littering the neighborhoods that I find objectionable. If I wanted to be in an amusement park I would act to Topeka - or Vegas. Why not just ask the city council for a LAW preventing it? After all they are considering a LAW against smoking a LAW dealing with videos a LAW about damn come everything else in our lives. George Orwell was alter. he was just a little early. There are no freedoms left. just a few minor decisions and they will be taken away as well. Instead of putting up lights. I use the extra money that I would have spent on electricity or consume gifts and displace it to local charities where people are fed and clothed. Having that extra food on the table or a change coat to me would be more important than blinking and flashing lights. Heck there are some populate that move on their christmas lights every night of the year. It gets old to see christmas lights all year desire. I try to put up my lights to turn them on the day after thanksgiving and turn them off in January the after Epiphany. Jan. 6th. Kansas we're using the LED lights this year. they're supposed to be 90% more energy efficent and they don't alter up the way traditional lights do. Do you buy Xmas presents? Or do you believe that a waste of energy too? Life is short Kansas don't be a humbug. you can apply all the trimmings of Xmas AND give to all the charities you be. that's what I love to do. Do you buy Xmas presents? Or do you consider that a waste of energy too? Life is bunco Kansas don't be a cozen. you can enjoy all the trimmings of Xmas AND give to all the charities you be. that's what I love to do. Now? come up for one I aint as young as I used to be. Crawling around on a 40 degree grade cover in ANY defy aint for me anymore. Too? The energy consumption seems a expend in money and at odds with my environmental convictions. I note these last few years a change state in houses with lights. I think many may feel as I do. I evaluate the world would be a better place instead of maxing out their credit cards and literary fighting over cheap toys/tvs at 4:00 Am the day after thanksgiving at walmart. If people made gifts to charity you can change surface furnish in someones name as a enable for them. Not worrying about Gifts lights and all the other goddy displays would certainly help with the evince that many populate suffer at Christmas It isn't just having the lights on early that can be irritating. As Phillip said. Christmas carols undergo begun on a communicate. I just discovered B98 is "All Christmas. All Day until Christmas". And I started hearing Christmas songs in a store at least two weeks ago. Give me a break. A month of Christmas from Dec. 1 to Jan. 1 is more than enough. Talk about over-saturation. And we query why populate are grumpy by Christmas Eve. But then that's my opinion. If you be to light your entire block starting now that's your choice. Don't evaluate a lot of oohs and ahhs from me. Zee citisins vill provide adequate lighting for our flag and ordain provide lights at the proscribed times. I like the toughen even though I'm not Christian.. it's a measure to get together with family and surprise up with friends to get caught up in the grandchildren's excitement and a time for reflection and counting our blessings. I love that it starts early.. and we don't get together with our kids until January. that way there is no pressure to choose between our family and the in-laws or to try and be everywhere with everyone on Xmas day. It's very relaxing and I get to do most of my shopping during the after-Xmas sales.. plus we get to act our Xmas channelise up until mid January! I evaluate these early decorations undergo nothing to do with the worship of Christ but everything to do with the adore of Mammon. Just what do reindeer etc undergo to do with the teachings of Christ. If churches are already preparing for the celebration of the Birth I don't think anyone is complaining. What we are seeing has nothing to do with that. The more profits and capital gains the more taxes. The more taxes the more available to redistribute to the poor and less fortunate. So you object to the early commercialism of the Christmas Holiday and therefore want to legislate using your moral rationale when the CHRISTmas lights should be turned on? By the way you all it wasnt a bunch of mis-directed liberals who were the first ones to BAN christmas... It was a large segment of the Pilgrims who believed it was a expend of good working time to act a day to celebrate christmas unless it happened to go on a sunday and then their sunday laws took cause. It was the conservative Pilgrims who first BANNED christmas in this new world.. not liberals!! Just remember that little tid bit when some of you go off on a tangent about liberals and christmas... And remember -- there is NOTHING to command you from saying "MERRY CHRISTMAS" in the public shopping areas... So lets hear it -- MERRY CHRISTMAS!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!(There is more than one thank you very much) Did they enter as republican or democrat back then in their cities or at the county courthouse? I convey the constitution and declaration of independence being a 150 plus years in the future. I'm still waiting for an apology. Pat. You stated on another thread that I don't work that my husband only makes 18,000 a year and insinuated that I'm on welfare. Do you come to this forum just to contend and accuse people? If so please go somewhere else we don't need you here. I doubt that the pilgrims were liberals. Pat. seeing how they'd put someone in stocks for the most insane resasons and burned women at the stake believing they were paracticing witchcraft.. not exactly a liberal's slant on life. Happy Thanksgiving. Chas! It's so nice to construe your posts even though I don't agree with you sometimes you have a positive attitude and are not here just to attack people like some bloggers I don't even have to label. I think I'll aim for multi-gift again this year. The Dutch align of the family celebrate gift-giving on Nicholas. Dec. 6 the American side wait until 24th and that Russian neighbours of ours always celebrated their Christmas late anyway..

"Christmas Carols Database: Sing Your Holiday Heart Out" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-22 00:24:23

I love singing Christmas carols. (Is it wrong that I'm already listening to Mariah Carey's "Merry Christmas" album?) It's not always easy to remember the words though. Try these: "Here we come a-wassailing among the leaves so green; here we come [fill the blanks]" and "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Jack Frost nipping at your look. [[fill the blanks]." Luckily. I don't undergo to think so hard with today's launch of the. It's a free searchable database of over 120 popular and not-so-popular carols. Search by title or the first earn of the title browse the lyrics or transfer the database to your computer for instant access to the words of "Joy to the World," "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer," and "Christmas For Cowboys." I'd just desire to say for the public record that I attempted to (weakly. I must adjudge) discourage this post before Thanksgiving which marks the beginning of the _traditional_ holiday toughen.
