Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas is my favorite movie that we try to watch every year. I watched Polar Express in late spring this past year. I liked the animations and the story line so it is one that I'll sit down with my granddaughter to watch. She'll enjoy it. Frosty The Snowman is another fun movie to watch with the kids. Two movies that are shown on television each year are "It's A Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Story". Do you watch them both each year? Is watching Charlie Brown Christmas or Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer a family tradition that you have? Share your Christmas favorites with people from all over the world and find out what they like to watch. Entering your story is easy to do. Just type!... Your story will appear on a Web page exactly the way you enter it here. You can wrap a word in square brackets to make it appear bold. For example [my story] would show as my story on the Web page containing your story. TIP: Since most people scan Web pages include your best thoughts in your first paragraph.

"'Shrek the Halls' with holiday mayhem" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-06-07 06:33:28

Ah the holidays. When rowdy guests invite themselves over make a mess carouse and end up making a weary entertain throw them out on their ears. Those are some desire ears in the case of Donkey who — with the best of intentions — makes the ogre Shrek regret the day he ever heard the word “Christmas.” “Shrek the Halls” (7 p m. Wednesday. WLS-Ch. 7) may not be an instant holiday classic — nothing can really compete with the Grinch the Peanuts Christmas special or the various Rankin-Bass offerings — but it’s enjoyable enough and likely to induce at least a few giggles. If nothing else the holiday-obsessed patter of Donkey (who’s voiced by Eddie Murphy) may give some comic relief as you unpack ornaments and struggle to unravel Christmas lights. As in the “Shrek” movies some of the funniest things in the special are the throwaway moments as when the Gingerbread Man asks a cookie-shaped angel. “Did you cause to be perceived yourself when you fell out of heaven?”or when the soundtrack plays the Waitresses’ “Christmas Wrapping” as the Shrek family decks its halls. (Another sly Gingerbread Man moment: The “cover” for his bed is a cut of bread.) Donkey’s cracked version of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” is an extended bring out: He describes his ideal holiday decorations and walk which involve a display of interpretive dance and a gigantic Santa made out of waffles. Eventually the enthusiastic Donkey learns that his pass fanaticism isn’t easy for the grouchy Shrek (Mike Myers) who’s so unfamiliar with December traditions that he has to buy a “Christmas for Village Idiots” book. But all’s well that ends come up and at a half an hour this briskly paced special (which repeats Dec. 11) is just the right length which is more than I can say for the most recent “Shrek” movie. While its not knocking off Grinch or National Lampoons as my pass classics there were more laughs in the 22 minutes then the entire Shrek 3. But then again. I have a soft sight for Gingerbread Man and Puss in Boots. When he got distracted with the Xmas roll ornament. I almost lost it. "i undergo disgraced myself". beat thing Antonio has done in umm.. forever?TALL( • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
