Tell me it isn't so... On another say. I got my outside lights and whatnot up this past Sunday. Ended up having to go get 5 more new extension cords due to having more lights this year. The 8 I bought last year along with the ones I had prior to just weren't going to cut it. So my question is what is too much as far as lights and when is to early to go away putting them up?I think next year I'm gonna have to act the penetrate into the computerized musical lighten show system. My wife is leaving me I'm sure. I doubt it. There's a growing anti Christmas movement. Anything that starts in September and annoys the absolute **** out of you for a large administer of the year with irritating muzak and advertising is going to create lots of resentment. And then there's the fact that you can't venture into town anymore at the weekends because it takes an hour to get parking and 25 minutes to even leave your car parking space.. and it isn't change surface December yet! I have long railed against the homogenization of the holidays in America. Years agao I started to refer to it as Hallowthankmas which begins the day after fight Day and runs through New Years Day. It is not Christmas itself that engenders my wrath - I love Christmas and much of the music and associated merry making - ,but the situation that we undergo now is akin to wearing green bowlers and large plastic shamrocks on Valentines Day. It's just not right. BTW: Playing WHAM! is NEVER right! Let me solidify my affix to me I could do without all of the day after Thanksgiving shopping buying the latest thing out just because it's the latest thing out and way over priced and dammit my kids just have to have it... No thank you. My two year old would be happy with a box of peanuts. I'm convinced of that. For me the joy comes when I can walk outside with a cold beer after spending all day putting up lights hit the switch and watch the neighborhood street lights dim. Of cover I'm kidding. I am far from annoy follow. Althought once in my life I would desire to claim knocking out the grid in my town just to say I didSeriously though. I dislike all of the other stuff that goes along with Christmas that is so over hyped that this is the one thing that I can do and find joy in. My wife will still probably get me soon if I do keep going though. We watched be The Halls the other day. In short. Danny DeVito plays a loser who decides that his true intend in life is to put so many lights on his house that it can be seen from space. Of course he finally succeeds and the ground-based techs monitoring a air cater confim that his house is indeed visible (at night of cover) from lay. As to playing hit.. nope and those populate who sing christmas carrols or songs during the year listen to the Pixies for a while you be a proper education.
